Steller's Sea Eagle (Haliaeetus pelagicus): The Majestic Hunter of the Skies

Steller's sea eagle, one of the largest and most powerful eagles in the world, rules the coastal regions of Kamchatka and the Sea of Okhotsk. One eagle, "Kiro," became a symbol of strength and adaptability. Known for his enormous wingspan and striking appearance, Kiro was often seen hunting salmon during their migration.

During one particularly harsh winter, when fish were scarce, Kiro displayed incredible adaptability by hunting smaller seabirds and scavenging along the coastline. One dramatic moment occurred when Kiro swooped down to snatch a fish from the claws of another eagle mid-flight, showcasing his dominance in the skies. Kiro’s resilience made him a legend among birdwatchers in the region.
