One winter, Arktos led his pack on a hunt for reindeer. Rather than attacking directly, he divided his pack into two groups. One group drove the reindeer toward a frozen lake, while the others waited in ambush. The reindeer struggled to run on the slippery ice, allowing the wolves to make their move.
